A leading global mining company seeks a Blaster to safely handle explosives and perform rock removal work in remote locations. Candidates should have a recognized Blaster certification and relevant experience, ensuring adherence to safety and operational protocols. This role involves outdoor work in varying environments, operating 2-week on, 2-week off rotations, with rigorous physical demands.
Blasters fill blast holes with explosives and detonate explosives to dislodge ore and rock. They work for mining, quarrying, construction companies, and drilling and blasting contractors. Blasters mainly work outdoors, sometimes in remote locations, loading explosives into blast holes by hand. They handle, store, and transport explosives and accessories in accordance with regulations, ensuring safety procedures are followed. Responsibilities also include cleaning equipment and assisting in activities within a safe and friendly environment.

Rotation
The work rotation is 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, coveralls, rain gear, winter clothing, steel-toed boots, and gloves.
