In This Role You Will
- Operate straightforward equipment and machinery, and perform general labor duties.
- Load and unload containers, materials, and products on trucks or trailers by hand or forklift.
- Transfer goods, organize received products, and prepare goods for shipment.
- Blend fertilizer.
- Receive grain, and grade by sampling, testing, and weighing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Remove snow during winter months.
What You Bring To The Table
- Basic knowledge and skills to operate plant equipment and machinery safely.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean record; DZ license is an asset.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs.
- Ability to operate skid steer, loader, and/or bobcat.
- Ability to read maps and bills of lading, follow delivery instructions, safety rules, and operating procedures; make accurate entries in logs; understand simple instructions.
- Conversational English skills.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- A desire to grow with the company; this position offers opportunities to learn about the agricultural business and advance your career.
- Willingness to work extra hours during spring planting and fall harvest seasons.
