Job description

Main Functions

The Operator is responsible for process operations and warehousing, including CCPs, GMPs, Food Safety, HSE, proper equipment operation, adherence to all safety protocols, sanitation, communication, and other assigned tasks. The role also involves collaboration with the entire Lallemand organization and Cornwall Lallemand team.

  • Increase wage after full training.
  • Schedule – According to the department schedule in the collective agreement. The utility operator's schedule may change as required, including 8- or 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • Manage dryer operation.
  • Bag finished products.
  • Collect product samples for lab analysis.
  • Manage upstream liquid operations.
  • Monitor CCPs, GMPs, CPs, and filters during operations.
  • Complete sanitation tasks, ensuring proper procedures and cleaning chemical concentrations.
  • Prepare and verify packaging and labels.
  • Conduct quality control analysis on in-process samples.
  • Input data into various production, quality, and sanitation logs.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties.
  • Operate in accordance with Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.
  • Maintain quality and food safety standards for the area of responsibility, following food safety and quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills

Experience with food manufacturing, operations, CIP, GMP, and use of different computer programs is an asset.
