Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work safely, maintain a clean work environment, and perform tasks as required by the supervisor.
2. Responsible for startup, adjustment, and shutdown of equipment including extruders, haul off, saws, dies, oil heaters, steam and water tanks, and auxiliary equipment.
3. Perform primary thinking related to this job description.
4. Read, operate, and understand all controls and warning devices; adjust die, motor RPM, temperature, and pipe wall thickness to meet manufacturing standards with minimal supervision.
5. Maintain detailed and accurate records in the computer data system.
6. Familiarize with product standards and specifications.
7. Inspect pipes online and finished products before inventory.
8. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
9. Start up and shut down extrusion lines.
10. Prepare production reports and maintain machine setting records.
11. Monitor and adjust machines to ensure product quality, safety, and efficiency.
12. Demonstrate ability to make die changes.
13. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. No prior experience necessary. Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand instructions. Ability to handle problems involving standard variables.

Physical Demands

Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk. Occasionally sit. Lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, color, and focused vision.

Work Environment

Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical shocks, vibration, and high places. Noise level is usually loud.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US markets. Pay varies based on market, knowledge, experience, and skills. We offer total compensation including sign-on payments and benefits.
