Job Responsibilities:

1. Delivery/Pickup of Loads:
   • Local deliveries within the surrounding counties
   • Arrive at customer location at specified time
   • Load and unload contents in a safe manner following required procedures
   • Handle bomb inventory as required
2. Transportation Regulations:
   • Comply with all legislation dealing with hours of work and maximum hours worked between breaks at all times
   • Immediately report any offences related to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Standards or Highway Traffic Act legislation
   • Adhere to all applicable laws, Federal, Regional, and Jurisdictional, as outlined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Standards
3. Dispatch Reporting:
   • Report to the office daily for dispatch instructions
   • Notify dispatcher of delays exceeding ½ hour
   • Use two-way radio as needed for communication with dispatch
4. Documentation:
   • Include Bills of Lading, equipment inspections, and other necessary documents for invoicing, safety, and compliance in driver envelopes
   • Complete all documents accurately and in full
   • Provide driver’s license updates when renewed or address changes occur within 30 days
5. Inspections:
   • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections as per Highway Traffic Act
   • Report vehicle damage immediately to the dispatcher

Education/Experience:

1. At least 1 year of verifiable experience as a DZ or AZ Driver
2. Good CVOR and driving abstract
3. Clean Police Clearance Certificate
4. WHMIS training (asset)
5. Forklift certification (asset)
