Job description

Machine Operator Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring proper inspection and packing of product. This position works in the Production Department, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor automated packing process, providing manual intervention when needed
• Inspect full boxes of finished product for quality
• Assemble boxes for filling with finished product
• Keep downstream packing equipment running and supplied with boxes to be filled
• Seal, label, load boxes onto elevator
• Maintain organized and clean workstations and common area
• Other duties as assigned

Education/ Previous Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read shipping lables
• Ability to identify defects in finished product
• Good color acuity
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 pounds frequently, 27 pounds occasionally and ability to be actively moving for the majority of any shift
• Use of Personal protective equipment on the production floor (PPE)
• Physical requirements include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.
