Job description

Voyago is hiring a Supervisor in the Schools Division!

As part of the operations team, this role ensures that drivers consistently adhere to the standards outlined in the Schools manual and contract. The individual is expected to cover school runs when needed and play an active role in reducing driver deficiencies by coordinating necessary training. Flexibility to commute to other regions for support is essential. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the management of Hours of Service, overseeing the completion of monthly ghostings, conducting safety discussions and trip inspections, and contributing to the planning and delivery of driver information meetings.

Your Role:

  • Report directly to the Operations Manager and oversee daily operations of Student Transportation services in assigned areas
  • Coordinate internal logistics between the Schools Division and support teams such as HR, Maintenance, and Health & Safety
  • Supervise and support drivers, ensuring compliance with contract standards and operational needs during staff absences
  • Monitor staff performance through site visits, incident reports, and conduct follow-ups as needed; provide input for annual performance reviews
  • Help with day-to-day operational tasks, including fueling and maintaining cleanliness of buses
  • Arrange and support training sessions in coordination with Health & Safety
  • Track and review KPIs with drivers; report outcomes to the Operations Manager
  • Remain on-call for divisional emergencies, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain work schedules and ensure adequate route coverage at all times
  • Fill in and drive school routes as needed
  • Manage onboarding, orientation, and license upgrade tracking for new hires
  • Oversee completion of ghosting and deficiency reports monthly
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of payroll, paperwork, and timesheets
  • Act as the main contact for internal support teams and assist with employee engagement through regular check-ins and meetings

Requirements

Your Profile:

  • You are safety-focused and prioritize the well-being of others
  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
  • You have a valid "B" Class licence (preferred)
  • You can provide a clean Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • You have intermediate to advanced verbal and written language skills (equivalent to B2 to C1 levels)
  • You have a strong knowledge of London and the surrounding areas
  • You think quickly on your feet and solve problems creatively by thinking outside the box
  • You can work independently and manage your time effectively
  • You are comfortable working at a fast pace and in an environment where things can change quickly
  • You have post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of experience and training
  • You bring a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • You have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • You offer excellent and proven customer service experience
  • You bring valuable experience in student transportation (an asset)
  • You have experience working in a unionized environment
  • You are available to work a rotating schedule Monday to Friday (6:00am to 3:00pm, 7:00am to 4:30pm, 9:00am to 5:30pm)
  • You are comfortable working outside regular business hours when required

Your Location:

  • You will be working out of the 573 Admiral Court office in London Ontario
  • This position is 100% in office
