Job summary

FedEx Canada seeks a frontline supervisor to promote the Safety Above All culture and manage daily sort operations and Cargo Handler staff within a station. You will lead, coach and mentor team members in proper package handling, routing and addressing service recovery within the sort function.

The role requires a college diploma and at least 2 years in FedEx sort operations or related supervisory role, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and handle packages

SOMMAIRE

Ce poste de superviseur de première ligne a pour mission de promouvoir la culture de sécurité avant tout de FedEx Express (FXE) et de gérer les opérations de tri quotidiennes ainsi que l’équipe de manutentionnaires de fret au sein d’une succursale. Le superviseur a la responsabilité de diriger et de guider les employés dans la manipulation appropriée des colis, le routage et la résolution des éventuelles défaillances de service liées à la fonction de tri. Il supervise l’ensemble des activités des manutentionnaires, notamment en orientant leur travail, en leur prodiguant mentorat, coaching et formation, et en veillant au respect des politiques et procédures de FXE ainsi que des réglementations gouvernementales dans les processus administratifs. This is an interview position plus CEV. This is a frontline supervisor position that supports the FedEx Express (FXE) Safety Above All Culture and manages specific day‑day sort operations and assigned Cargo Handlers (CH) staff within a station. Responsible to lead and guide employees in proper package handling, routing and recovery of potential service failures within the station sort function. The Operations Supervisor has oversight for all CH functions, including the direction of work activities, employee mentoring/coaching/training ensuring administrative processes are compliant with FXE policies and procedures and government regulations.

CONNAISSANCES, COMPÉTENCES, APTITUDES

• Diplôme collégial
• Deux ans d’expérience dans les opérations de tri chez FedEx ou dans un poste horaire de niveau senior OU,
• Deux ans d’expérience en supervision dans un domaine apparenté.
• Posséder un permis de conduire valide et un bon dossier de conducteur.
• Pouvoir soulever des charges de 70 lb et de manœuvrer, avec l’aide d’un appareil approprié, des colis pesant jusqu’à 150 lb.
