The Regional District of Mount Waddington (RDMW) is seeking a skilled and self-directed project manager to oversee vital public infrastructure projects across our rural and remote communities. Our jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Port Alice, and Alert Bay, and unincorporated communities such as Hyde Creek, Coal Harbour, Woss, Winter Harbour, Holberg, Sointula and others.
Reporting to, and working with, the Manager of Operations, this exempt role is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and supervision of capital projects and essential services in water, wastewater, solid waste, fire protection, and transportation infrastructure.
This is a field-forward, office-supported leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments and can operate effectively in remote contexts. You will work directly with frontline staff, contractors, and stakeholders, and play a critical role in ensuring operational safety, continuity, and long-term sustainability for the region.
