Role Overview

The Operations Partner is a critical member of Bird’s Operations Team. You will collaborate with regional leadership to manage our fleet of e-scooters in Edmonton, ensuring they are maintained and deployed to meet community needs. We seek a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit who can operate at both a high level and in detail to meet ambitious goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, strategic, well-organized, and an effective communicator. You will oversee all strategic operations in Edmonton, using mobile technology to monitor, transport, rebalance, and maintain vehicles, ensuring safe, eco-friendly scooters are always accessible nearby.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end operations including charging, deploying, relocating, and retrieving vehicles.
  • Drive continuous growth through local campaigns and initiatives to increase market share.
  • Prioritize tasks and solve problems efficiently.
  • Be resourceful, self-motivated, and proactive—independent in initiating projects.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable vehicle for work duties.
  • Strong knowledge of Edmonton's geography.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Adaptability to new tools and concepts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, stoop, walk for extended periods.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and team-oriented.
  • Excellent networking and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with complex problem-solving and decision-making in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into actionable tasks.

  • This is an independent contractor position.
