Operations Manager Trainee

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) offers a hands-on development opportunity through the Operations Manager Trainee Program, designed to upskill high-potential individuals and prepare them for future leadership roles within our grain operations network.

The goal of this program is to equip participants with the tools, experience, and confidence to take on increased responsibilities within our operations teams.

About P&H Grain

The P&H Grain Division operates across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces, Ontario, and Quebec. Our facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and export terminals, connect producers' grain with domestic and export markets.

Your Role

As an Operations Manager Trainee, you will gain knowledge of responsibilities necessary to step into an Operations Manager role. The program emphasizes leadership, operational understanding, and communication skills through mentorship, on-the-job training, e-learning, virtual sessions, and webinars.

Location & Relocation

The training will be based at a P&H site in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba, with some travel involved. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate if future opportunities arise elsewhere.

Term

18-month contract.

What You’ll Learn

Participants will gain experience in areas such as inventory management, shipping, logistics, facility maintenance, quality control, grain procurement, risk management, health and food safety, and leadership development.
