Job Position Overview:

The Operations Manager / Senior Engineer will support operations by leading and supporting a wide range of Civil Engineering consulting projects and initiatives. The role also involves engaging with Indigenous communities throughout Ontario.

Responsibilities of Operations Manager / Senior Engineer:

  1. Experience in civil, structural, electrical engineering, construction, and telecommunications industries.
  2. Progressive experience in a Consulting Engineering field serving various sectors.
  3. Interact with internal and external contacts for design details.
  4. Knowledge of permitting processes (highway, railroad, city, county, etc.) is highly desirable.
  5. Collect, interpret, and organize project engineering and vendor data.
  6. Interface with senior personnel to resolve technical and project issues.
  7. Assist in maintaining internal engineering standards and work practices.
  8. Coordinate with other business units to verify project design requirements and delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
  2. Minimum of five years of related experience in a similar or related position.
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  6. Knowledge of Hydro One Distribution Standards is preferred.
