As a young and growing Quebec company specializing in the manufacture of artisanal products, we are looking for a Director of Operations to support our growth.

Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for all operational, strategic and financial activities of the organization. You will be responsible for implementing the company's orientations, while ensuring its performance, profitability and sustainable development.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations (production, sales, HR, administration).
  • Lead the management team and supervise department managers.
  • Monitor projects delegated to departmental teams.
  • Plan and monitor budgets, working capital and performance indicators.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with agreements negotiated with suppliers.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training and evaluation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and food hygiene standards.
  • Support business development, marketing and growth strategies.
  • Establish company policies and procedures.
  • Hold weekly meetings with sales, marketing, production and administration managers.
  • Validate specifications and permits for major projects (expansions, refurbishments, etc.).
  • Proudly represent the company in public relations, mentoring and external consultations.
  • Any other related duties as delegated by the President.

Skills and qualifications :

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar position, including team management.

Specific knowledge:

  • In the management of operations and finances in an agri-food business.
  • Principles of food processing, hygiene, OHS.
  • Human resources management processes and legislation.

Training:

  • BAC in business administration or related field.
