As Operations Manager of Flooring and Facility Solutions (FFS) at United Rentals, you will leverage your leadership skills to build a new business from scratch, coordinating and directing the delivery of “white glove” service to facility maintenance and restoration customers. Working closely with the District Manager, you will ensure safety, equipment training, world-class customer service, and standard process compliance for effective operations. You will oversee FFS sales efforts in partnership with the sales team, and all FFS location staff will report to you.

What you'll do:

  • Support the District Manager in achieving financial objectives.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all company policies.
  • Manage all FFS location staff, providing direction, coaching, and feedback.
  • Handle performance management for staff including FFS Outside Sales Representatives, Mechanics, and others.
  • Implement actions to meet financial goals such as revenue, EBITDA, ROCA, and EAC.
  • Motivate, coach, and train personnel.
  • Provide consistent training to location staff and the general rental team.
  • Oversee sales efforts, partnering with the sales team to assess customer needs and fleet demand.
  • Promote a safety and discipline culture through leadership, compliance, accountability, and communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of sales and operational experience.
  • Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
