Qualifications

Job description

About the role :

We’re seeking a full-time, permanent Operations Manager to join our HearCANADA Retail Central Ontario team. This position supports the operations of our Central Ontario HearCANADA clinics, which include the GTA from Burlington to Durham Region, Barrie, Muskoka, and Peterborough Kawarthas. Travel within the territory to provide onsite support to clinical teams is expected.

Reporting to the Divisional Sales Director, you will bring multi-site operations experience from retail or clinic settings (experience in both is a significant asset) to our team. You should have an analytical, methodical approach and experience in empowering teams to exceed KPIs and targets, while providing support and data-driven recommendations.

This is a hybrid position based in the Greater Toronto Area (or within commuting distance). Frequent travel (~60%) across the territory is required. Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license are necessary.

What you will do :
  1. Oversee operational aspects within assigned clinics, including supporting staff training, coaching, and development; participate in performance discussions and hiring alongside the Divisional Sales Director.
  2. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for clinics, including scheduling, patient recall, database management, etc.
  3. Support clinical and company initiatives like product launches, pricing updates, and customer events.
  4. Stay informed of industry trends and assess their impact on clinic operations.
  5. Provide regular updates on KPIs and project outcomes.
  6. Document needs and risks for clinic relocations, buildouts, and closures.
  7. Support integration efforts for acquisitions.
  8. Assist clinical teams with marketing and revenue initiatives, including community engagement.
  9. Maintain communication with staff and managers to understand challenges, successes, and areas for improvement.
What we are looking for :
  1. At least 3 years of successful experience in retail or clinic operations.
  2. Minimum 2 years in operational leadership, training, and coaching for multi-site teams.
  3. Experience in a data-driven environment with KPI monitoring.
  4. Technical skills and comfort with tools and software, including MS Office, CRM, POS, and EMR systems.
  5. Experience with new location operations is a plus.
  6. Strong relationship-building skills and change management experience.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  8. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  9. Willingness to travel approximately 60% across Canada.
