Operations Manager - BSA

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to lead our plant operations in Baie-Sainte-Anne (New-Brunswick). This role involves providing leadership and implementing organizational strategies to ensure our customers receive products that meet Berger’s high quality standards. As Operations Manager, you will be part of a management team that oversees all manufacturing and shipping for our plants across New-Brunswick.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Develop initiatives to achieve performance, quality and safety standards and goals;
  • Utilize production management expertise in an automated, fast-paced environment while establishing optimal production schedules and working methods;
  • Be an agent of change and promote a strong culture of health and safety at work;
  • Promote Berger values in our plants to create a positive and team oriented work environment;
  • Provide employee coaching and identify opportunities for growth and development to help employees further their career at Berger;
  • Participate in annual budgeting processes, controls and forecasts.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, engineering, or any suitable combination of relevant training and/or experience will be considered;
  • 5 to 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environments;
  • Solutions based approach and strategic big-picture thinker;
  • Strong teamwork spirit;
  • Strong management skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams of people (we are willing to coach you through that process!);
  • Experience with multi-site management;
  • Lean management experience, considered an asset;
  • French language skills are an asset.
