Job summary

ATCO Structures in Winnipeg is seeking an Operations Manager, Fleet, and Service to lead the rental fleet servicing program and oversee facilities management and third-party contractor coordination. The role is a full-time, in-office position reporting to the Regional Manager.

Key responsibilities include supervising site work estimates, coordinating service calls, ensuring safe and budget-conscious project execution, and coordinating transportation for client sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in equipment servicing, construction, or a project-based environment with budgetary responsibility.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance, operational, and construction projects from planning through execution.
• Knowledge of Manitoba building codes.

Our Winnipeg branch is on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Operations Manager, Fleet, and Service to drive excellence in our modular rental space and fleet operations. Under the direction of the Regional Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for supervising our rental fleet servicing program, facilities management, offsite and onsite construction works, and third-party contractor management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the estimating process for all site work, retrofitting, and service work.

• Provide customer support and service call coordination for any issues.

• Accountable for maintaining modular building fleet and yards, including remote locations; servicing, inspections, chargebacks, winterization, repairs, maintenance, and modifications, etc. as pertains to the rental fleet.

• Ensure projects and service work are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

• Responsible for client site installation and construction support, dispatching, and coordinating transportation.

• Conduct safety inspections and observations.

• Understand client site(s) nuances, restrictions, and project management plan.

• Liaise with Contract Administration on service chargebacks and contract billing.

Job Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education from a recognized accredited institution in a related field, such as construction, carpentry, building technology, engineering technology, or a skilled trade, is required.

• 5+ years of experience in equipment servicing, construction, or a project-based environment, including budgetary responsibility.

• Proven ability to lead maintenance, operational, and construction projects from planning through execution.

• Knowledge of Manitoba building codes.

• Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and operational management systems

• Experience executing construction projects, preferably within Manitoba.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and external partners.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and solve complex challenges.

• Previous experience in the modular construction industry would be considered an asset.

• Hands-on experience operating site equipment, including loaders, skid steers, and aerial work platforms (AWPs), would be considered an asset.

• Comfortable working in both office and outdoor yard environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
