The Role

Job Title : Operations Manager

Location : Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid / Remote within Ireland)

This is a high-impact role suited for someone with 3+ years of experience, preferably in digital assets, fintech, or a regulated financial services startup, who brings an entrepreneurial mindset and thrives in dynamic environments.

As Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving efficiency, compliance readiness, and scalable processes across the business. You'll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams on day-to-day execution and long-term planning as we expand our custody offerings and transition into full CASP operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and improve internal operations across compliance, finance, HR, legal, and vendor management.
• Support regulatory reporting, audit preparation, and VASP / CASP compliance documentation.
• Coordinate key company initiatives and ensure alignment across teams.
• Lead process optimization and implement operational systems / tools (e.g., Notion, Slack, project management software).
• Collaborate with the product and tech teams to align service delivery with operational capacity.
• Maintain and update company policies in line with VASP / CASP regulatory obligations.
• Support investor relations, fundraising, and reporting functions.
• Act as a liaison between Fortuna Custody and external partners, including legal, compliance, and regulatory bodies.

Ideal Profile

• 3+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or compliance in a startup, scale-up, or regulated financial environment.
• Prior exposure to digital assets, custody, or blockchain / fintech is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding (or interest in learning) of EU crypto regulations, especially MiCA and VASP / CASP frameworks.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a bias toward execution.
• Self-starter with a “build and own” mentality.
• Based in Ireland (or willing to relocate); familiarity with the Irish regulatory and fintech ecosystem is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a VASP, CASP, e-money institution, or financial services provider.
• Familiarity with risk, compliance, or AML frameworks in crypto or fintech.
• Previous work supporting regulated entities through licensing or expansion phases.
