Summary
As an Operations Manager at Sylvite, you will play a critical role in overseeing our operational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across our services. This position is vital to maintaining our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction within the agricultural supply industry.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Operations Oversight:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure the efficient management of all departments, maintaining optimal workflows.
- Address operational challenges proactively and implement solutions to ensure minimal disruptions.
- Ensure that the team meets project deadlines and performance standards.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise site supervisors and field staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement.
- Drive cultural change initiatives and increase employee engagement to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Work closely with HR to conduct performance reviews, set goals, and identify training needs for the professional development of staff.
- Collaborate with HR to manage staffing needs, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
2. Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, compliance with industry standards, and local regulations.
- Continuously monitor and enforce company policies to ensure safe and efficient work practices across all teams.
3. Process Improvement:
- Identify process inefficiencies and work to develop improvements for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement strategies for enhancing productivity and operational outcomes.
4. Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and alignment with company goals.
- Provide regular performance reports and updates to senior management.
5. Audit & Internal Controls:
- Assist in regular audits of operational processes to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas for improvement based on audit findings and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of audits and follow-up on any issues identified during the process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management or a related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles is an asset.
