SNDL is the largest private-sector liquor and cannabis retailer in Canada and operates a diversified portfolio that spans cannabis production retail and strategic investments.

As we launch a new Wine and Beyond store in Regina we are seeking an experienced and operations-driven Operations Manager to join our leadership team.

The Opportunity

As the Operations Manager you will oversee the critical behind-the-scenes functions that keep a high-performing retail liquor store running smoothly. Youll partner with the General Manager and management team to lead store operations manage people handle inventory and logistics ensure compliance and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone who is process-oriented highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced customer-facing retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

People & Culture

Coach and mentor team members to build capability and confidence

Lead daily huddles and communication updates

Support recruitment and succession planning

Create a positive accountable work environment

Enforce company policies and address HR issues professionally

Store Operations

Manage all day-to-day store functions including opening / closing scheduling merchandising and receiving

Ensure visual merchandising standards and store cleanliness

Oversee eCommerce orders and timely fulfillment

Approve payroll and monitor scheduling against labor budgets

Monitor equipment and facility needs and follow up on repairs

Promote a sales-focused culture and deliver excellent service

Support customer event planning and upselling initiatives

Handle escalated customer service concerns

Implement product launches and track campaign effectiveness

Manage inventory levels and ordering processes

Review invoices and pricing for accuracy

Conduct cycle counts and annual inventory audits

Track at-risk slow-moving or high-loss items

Monitor financial performance sales metrics and KPIs

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with liquor laws (ProServe / Serving It Right / TAP)

Lead loss prevention and OHS efforts in-store

Complete incident reporting audits and regulatory checklists

Maintain current certifications and ensure team compliance

What You Bring

2 years in an operations or management role preferably in a retail or big-box environment

Proven leadership and team development experience

Strong attention to detail and process optimization mindset

Working knowledge of inventory systems and POS tools

ProServe / Serving It Right / TAP certification (or ability to obtain)

Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs climbing ladders and standing for long periods

Background check and reliable transportation required
