Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada is seeking a motivated intern for its Logistics Operations team in Longueuil. You will own projects affecting logistics efficiency and assist with storage and material handling improvements, reporting to the Manager, Logistics Operations.

Current students in Operations/Logistics or related fields will contribute to KPI development, document tracking, and process optimization while gaining hands-on experience in a world-class aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled at a Canadian university for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Be eligible to work in Canada and work on-site in the province where you are hired.
  • Pursuing studies in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in data analysis and project work is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP/ERP, Power BI, and Access is an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust priorities based on customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Independently take ownership of and complete projects with direct impact on logistics operations and process optimization.
  • Support the Manager in tasks related to ongoing projects.
  • Develop a document approval tracking tool.
  • Outline processes for external storage facilities, including service levels and contacts.
  • Participate in implementing new KPIs.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support.

Internship dates: January 5th to April 23th, 2027.

Location: The position is based at our Longueuil Manufacturing Center location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Reporting to the Manager, Logistics Operations, the successful candidate will support projects focused on improving logistics operational efficiency, while also providing support to storage and material‑handling operations.

What will your day‑to‑day look like?
  • Independently take ownership of and complete projects of varying scope that have a direct impact on our logistics operations and the optimization of our business processes. For example, optimizing material transfers across our various sites.
  • Support the Manager, Logistics Operations in carrying out specific tasks related to ongoing projects, such as:
  • Developing a document approval tracking tool.
  • Internally communicating a plan outlining key processes for P&WC’s external storage facilities, including service levels, points of contact, tools to be used, etc.
  • Participating in and taking ownership of the implementation of new performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide support for day‑to‑day operations.
What do you need to be successful?
  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled at a Canadian university for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Be able to work on‑site in the province where you are hired, if applicable.
  • Currently pursuing studies in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in data analysis and project work is an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities based on customer needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem‑solving.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP, Power BI, and Access is an asset.

Although this position is part of a French‑speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
