OVERVIEW

The Operations Lead is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency through coaching and leadership. The role involves working closely with the Operations & Visual Manager to delegate tasks, provide feedback, and support overall store operations.

Operations Leader Responsibilities:

  • Lead inventory management processes, focusing on accuracy and shrink reduction.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, partnering with the General Manager to address process or system issues.
  • Manage shipment, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
  • Maintain visual standards on the sales floor.
  • Support a safe and efficient work environment through stockroom standards and processes.

Business Leadership:

  • Partner with the Operations & Visual Manager on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, vendor relations, technology, and facilities.
  • Use metrics to support strategic business decisions.
  • Assess and respond to business needs dynamically on the retail floor.

People Leadership:

  • Lead by example, inspiring staff in daily operations and guest experience.
  • Oversee Operations Associates, including recruitment and development.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to promote individual growth.

Business Partnership:

  • Collaborate with Visual and Sales & Service Leads to ensure cross-functional training and execution of directives.
  • Implement company operations initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Receptive to feedback and eager to give feedback.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to create a positive work environment.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Alignment with Alo’s principles.

This is a full-time role, requiring 32-40 hours per week, including variable shifts, peak days, weekends, and during the holiday blackout period from Thanksgiving through early January.
