Sunbelt Rentals in Laval, QC is seeking an HVAC Technician 3 to deliver, install and service portable HVAC equipment while ensuring safe operation and accuracy of paperwork. The role includes troubleshooting complex climate control gear and providing guidance to teammates as needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HVAC, a valid driver’s license, bilingual English/French, and a willingness to work after hours and weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• HVAC certificate or licensure in Canada.
• 5+ years HVAC experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains operators on safe use.
• Troubleshoots and repairs climate control equipment.
• Inspects equipment and completes delivery/pick-up paperwork.
• Maintains accurate records of in-stock and rented equipment.
• On-call for emergency service on a rotating schedule.

This role delivers portable HVAC equipment to the customer, demonstrating skills and performance in the use, operation and repair of all company equipment. Additionally, this role repairs the most complex Climate Control equipment, provides training and guidance to other Technicians, checks in and repairs equipment, performs general shop duties and delivers/installs CC equipment as needed.Position Responsibilities:Communicates professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service callsDelivers and installs rented HVAC equipment; trains authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of equipmentDirects customers to sign appropriate paperwork; keeps track of serial numbersSuccessfully troubleshoots and completely understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipmentOperates company vehicle safely and follows all company safety policiesCleans and tests returned equipment, making sure operation and appearance is up to standardsCompletes appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service callsInstalls flexible gas hose on both propane and natural gas applicationsImplements proper and safe procedures to check gas connectionsWorks with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipmentIs on call for emergency service and is available on a rotating schedule for emergency service response calls on weekends and eveningsRequirements:Education & Experience:5+ years of HVAC experienceMust have an HVAC Certificate, which recognizes some level of formal training as well as the legal (state licensed) ability to work on refrigeration systemsMust possess basic math skillsMust be mechanically inclinedMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving record free from pointsMust be at least 21 years or olderMust be able to work some after hours and weekend work during peak timesBase Pay Range32.53 - 46.75Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
