Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Markham, Ontario, is hiring an Accountant, Operations Finance to prepare monthly financial statements and reports for communities and residences. You will post journal entries, review accruals, and assist with audits, collaborating with the Finance team to ensure timely reporting.

The role requires post-secondary finance education and 2–3 years in general accounting; CPA designation or progress is preferred, with on-site work five days a week in Markham.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Finance, Business, Commerce or related discipline.
• CPA designation or working towards completion preferred.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a general accounting position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial accounts, records and reports for communities and residences.
• Perform journal entries and posting, review accruals and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Finance team to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and resident data.
• Assist with quarterly working papers for external audits.
