Qualifications

  • Clean Driver's Abstract and Clear Background check.

Responsibilities

  • Answer delivery/pick-up questions.
  • Transfer freight to agents.
  • Conduct Dock Searches as needed.
  • Complete daily end of day reports.

Job description

Job Title: Operations Dispatcher

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 7:00pm

Location: Dieppe, NB

Position Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $22.00/hr

We are searching for the next great dispatch and freight handler for one of our esteemed clients in the Moncton/Dieppe area. This is a full-time position with great benefits. Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer any questions staff may have regarding deliveries or pick-ups.
  • Transfer air and ground freight to our agents.
  • Alert branches & CSR's about missorts, missing freight, and freight on hand.
  • Initiate and complete Dock Searches.
  • Assure drivers and agents comply with pickup and delivery requirements.
  • Complete occasional p&d if the need should arise.
  • Cover off vacations and sick days on occasion.
  • Monitor Proof of Deliveries for time-sensitive deliveries.
  • Work with the other branches and customer service to ensure our customers' needs are met.
  • Daily end of day reports.
  • Daily transfer to Cargojet YQM and after-hour pickup coordination.
  • Coordinate weekend specials and after-hour deliveries as required.
  • Deal directly with both existing customers and potential new customers' service requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous Dispatch experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and In-house software.
  • 2-3 years of current Driving experience.
  • Previous Hand-Held Scanner experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Be a minimum of 25 years old.
  • Clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Clear Background check.
