Job description

Join to apply for the Operations Crew role at Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG).

Position Overview: Reporting to TD Place Operations, you will be part of the conversion/changeover crew. Your role involves converting the arena and stadium between different event modes (hockey, concert, football, soccer, etc.) and ensuring all event preparations and setups are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Convert stadium and arena spaces for various events;
  2. Assist in setting up and tearing down event materials such as nets, goal posts, signage, flooring, and stages;
  3. Support other departments with their event setup needs in indoor and outdoor spaces;
  4. Maintain and upkeep departmental equipment daily;
  5. Follow safety protocols, including wearing CSA-approved safety footwear and PPE;
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Labour experience is advantageous;
  • Must have CSA-approved steel toe work boots;
  • G Class Driver’s License required for operating motorized vehicles on-site;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
  • Familiarity with tools and maintenance equipment;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Working Conditions:

  • Physically demanding work involving walking, stairs, and heavy lifting;
  • Use of tools and equipment with safety risks if not handled properly;
  • Compliance with WHMIS and provincial health and safety regulations.
