Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a Completions Operations Administrator to join our Leduc team and help keep our field operations running smoothly from the office.

This is a hands-on operations support role for someone who understands that in the oilfield, good paperwork and accurate numbers matter. You will work closely with the District Manager, field crews, operations, vendors, and accounting to make sure field tickets are verified, costs are tracked, POs are in order, inventory is accounted for, and the information from the field makes it into our systems correctly and on time.

The right person will be organized, accountable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and not afraid to pick up the phone and chase down missing information when something doesn't add up.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Energy Solutions (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures.
Field Tickets & Job Documentation
  1. Review and verify daily field tickets for accuracy and completeness.
  2. Make sure labour, equipment, materials, rentals, and other charges are properly documented.
  3. Match field tickets against the work performed and applicable POs.
  4. Follow up with field personnel when tickets are missing information or don't line up with the job.
  5. Ensure completed tickets are processed and filed properly.
  6. Help keep the field-to-office paperwork moving without unnecessary delays.

  1. Enter and verify operational and cost information in B1 (SAP).
  2. Upload field tickets, supporting documents, and other required paperwork.
  3. Ensure jobs and costs are coded correctly.
  4. Maintain accurate system records and supporting documentation.
  5. Identify and correct errors before they become invoicing or reporting issues.
Cost Tracking & Reporting
  1. Track job costs and compare actual costs against POs, field tickets, and job budgets.
  2. Maintain cost-tracking reports and spreadsheets.
  3. Assist the District Manager with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting packages.
  4. Help identify cost discrepancies, missing charges, duplicate entries, or unexpected costs.
  5. Support month-end close and reconciliation activities.
  6. Provide accurate information to operations and management when decisions need to be made.
Purchase Orders

  6. Help ensure materials used on jobs are properly accounted for and charged.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who gets the pace of the oilfield and takes pride in getting the details right.

You should have:

  1. Previous administrative, operations, dispatch, accounting, or field-support experience.
  2. Oilfield or energy industry experience is strongly preferred.
  3. Experience working with field tickets, POs, invoices, job costing, or inventory is an asset.

  10. A practical, team-first attitude.
  11. The ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload.
The Person We're Looking For

This role is not about sitting behind a desk and simply entering data.

We need someone who will own the workflow.

When a field ticket doesn't make sense, you'll ask questions. When a PO is missing, you'll chase it down. When inventory doesn't balance, you'll investigate it. When costs don't line up, you'll flag the issue.

You need to be comfortable working with both field people and office personnel, understand that priorities can change quickly, and be willing to do what it takes to keep the operation moving.

A strong candidate will be:

  1. Reliable – you do what you say you're going to do.
  2. Detail-oriented – you catch mistakes before they become problems.
  3. Organized – you can keep track of multiple jobs, tickets, POs, and deadlines.
  4. Proactive – you don't wait for someone else to find the problem.
  5. Straightforward – you communicate clearly and deal with issues directly.
  6. Team-oriented – you understand that the office and field have to work together.
  7. Oilfield-minded – you understand that things move fast and paperwork has to keep up.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Sitting behind a desk looking at a computer screen for up to 8 hours in a day.
  • Frequent sitting, bending, twisting, and standing.
Education, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
  • Diploma or Certificate in business, finance or related field required and/or equivalent experience in the industry.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years in a similar role.
  • Results from a background test must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Tier 1’s policies and procedures.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • This position may be required to drive a company vehicle or use your personal vehicle on occasion for business purposes. A drivers abstract in good standing is required.
