Job summary

Commissionaires BC in British Columbia is seeking a Temporary Full Time Operations Centre Coordinator to support scheduling and customer service for Security Officers and clients across the province. You will coordinate staffing requests, monitor inquiries, and assign shifts using our in‑house systems, ensuring accurate communications and timely responses.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Operations, the role demands excellent customer service, intermediate computer skills, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Clear criminal record with ability to obtain a reliability security clearance.
• Resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years (due to above security clearance eligibility).
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Responding to and monitoring staffing/service requests from internal and external clients.
• Answering calls from employees and members of the public and assisting with their queries.
• Selecting appropriate employees to fill staffing service requests.
• Providing a clear and accurate description of work assignments to employees.
• Shift scheduling using in-house software programs.
• Ensuring the safety of all staff working alone by effectively monitoring our Lone Work Program system.
• Maintaining a detailed log after the end of each shift.
• Producing ad hoc reports as required by various departments.
• Conducting follow-up reviews with clients to ensure client satisfaction.
