The General Manager of DJ Industrial is responsible for planning, directing, and supporting activities of customer service and operations within the Industrial Business Unit (SBU) to achieve financial and operational goals. The General Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager of the Industrial SBU.

Essential Functions

• Oversee overall branch sales and operations
• Lead teams and team leads in Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Warehouse, and Assembly
• Manage and influence sales and margin goals
• Develop and recommend short- and long-term objectives aligned with SBU guidelines
• Plan and manage budgets in accordance with approved plans
• Support sales growth, inventory management, and gross profit margin improvement through the Regional Customer Service Manager
• Coordinate with the Director of Operations to ensure timely order fulfillment, high margins, and operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with provincial regulations
• Foster a positive workplace climate and support associate development
• Maintain effective communication within and across functional areas
• Build and sustain good relationships with customers and the public
• Review staffing plans to meet organizational objectives and administer salary and retention programs, making modifications as necessary

Experience, Education, and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of management experience required
• Leadership experience in sales, service, and operations within the fluid power distribution industry is preferred
• Strong sales skills essential
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
