Job description

The Operations Assistant / Tree Runner position is critical to our planting operation, and we have multiple positions available. They are a vital support role for our tree planters throughout the summer and require highly motivated self-starters.

Responsibilities

Operations Assistant / Tree Runners are responsible for organizing day-to-day operations to maximize crew productivity. Duties include :

• Driving, loading / unloading boxes and trays
• Setting up caches
• Using equipment (skidder, pumps, vehicles)
• Watering trees
• Managing inventory of full and empty tree trays
• Supporting safety and quality of the operation and team
• Performing other duties as needed

Salary up to $1300 / week (negotiated based on experience).

Qualifications

• Class 4 or 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Tree planting experience is an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing and able to perform physically demanding tasks
