G3 Canada Limited in Wetaskiwin is seeking an Operations Assistant (Level 1) to support the safe, efficient handling of grain and to maintain a respectful, clean facility.

The role involves receiving grain, sampling, binning, operating PLCs and other equipment, and providing professional service to farmers, drivers, customers, and partners. You will collaborate with the team to adapt to changing priorities while upholding EH&S policies.

Responsibilities

  • Receive grain by truck, including weighing loads, collecting required documentation, and following site procedures.
  • Collect grain samples and assist with grain quality assessment and grain cleaning activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Bin, transfer, monitor, and ship grain while following operational, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Operate terminal control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other equipment, where trained and authorized.
  • Support rail car and locomotive-related activities, where trained and authorized.
  • Provide timely, respectful, and professional service to farmers, commercial truck drivers, customers, business partners, and other visitors.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders to support safe and efficient operations and respond to changing priorities.
  • Follow Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices, and help maintain clean, organized, and well-maintained facilities.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Job Title: Operations Assistant (Level 1)

The Operations Assistant supports the safe, efficient handling of grain throughout the facility. This role contributes to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace, clean and well-maintained facilities, reliable operations, positive customer service, and effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and business partners.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive grain by truck, including weighing loads, collecting required documentation, and following site procedures.

Assets

The following experience or knowledge would be considered an asset, but is not required:

  • Knowledge of grain grading.
  • Experience with grain cleaning operations.
  • Familiarity with grain handling equipment and processes.
  • Previous elevator or terminal experience.
