Job summary

G3 Canada Limited in Moose Jaw is seeking an Operations Assistant (Casual) to support grain handling at the G3 Pasqua location. You will help ensure a safe, clean, and efficient facility, deliver good customer service to farmers and truckers, and assist in daily operations.

The role requires a strong work ethic, ability to learn, teamwork, and familiarity with grain handling equipment. PLC operation knowledge is an asset; training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with grain handling operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with grain grading and cleaner operations is an asset.
• Willingness to learn and take on responsibilities of the role.

Responsibilities

• Comply with EH&S policies at all times.
• Ensure facilities are clean, efficient and well-maintained.
• Receive grain by truck, including weighing and documentation.
• Sample grain and assist in assessing quality.
• Bin and transfer grain; operate terminal control systems.
• Operate grain cleaning equipment and assess quality.
• Ship grain, including handling rail cars and locomotives.
• Provide friendly customer service to farmers and truckers.
• Identify opportunities to improve procedures and reduce costs.

Job Title: Operations Assistant (Casual)

Location: G3 Pasqua

The Operations Assistant performs duties related to handling grain throughout the facility. Key objectives include a safe and healthy environment for everyone at the location; clean, efficient and well-maintained physical facilities; excellent customer service; and positive working relationships with G3 colleagues and business partners.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Comply at all times with corporate EH&S policies and best practices.
• Ensure physical facilities are clean, efficient and well-maintained.
• Receive grain by truck, including weighing and documentation.
• Sampling grain and assisting in assessing grain quality
• Binning and transferring grain
• Operating Terminal control systems
• Operating grain cleaning equipment and assessing quality
• Shipping grain, including handling rail cars and locomotive
• Provide friendly/quality customer service to all farmers and commercial truckers.
• Identify opportunities to improve standard operating procedures and reduce operating expenses.
• Promote effective communications and collaborative working relationships between management, staff and G3 head office.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic, ability to learn and willingness to take on responsibilities of the position
• Ability to operate a programmable logic computer (PLC)
• Good communication and team-work skills
• Knowledge of grain grading and cleaner operations is an asset
• Familiarity with grain-handling equipment and processes is an asset
