Summary of day to day responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely generation, review, and execution of trade confirmations for Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives.

Position Summary:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive OTC Confirmations Analyst to join our Operations team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely generation, review, and execution of trade confirmations for Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives.
• This role requires a strong understanding of OTC products, the ISDA framework, and the end-to-end trade lifecycle, as well as close coordination with front office, legal, counterparties, and other internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and dispatch trade confirmations for a broad range of OTC derivative products (e.g., equity derivatives, credit derivatives, interest rate swaps).
• Ensure timely affirmation and matching of trades in accordance with regulatory timelines and internal SLAs.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal trade records and counterparty details.
• Work closely with traders, legal, and external counterparties to resolve confirmation breaks or disputes.
• Maintain knowledge and application of ISDA Master Agreements and Confirmation templates.
• Reconcile trade bookings and ensure alignment across trading, middle office, and confirmation systems.
• Utilize Python or similar programming skills to support automation initiatives, enhance reconciliation processes and optimize data workflows.
• Support internal audits, regulatory reporting, and control processes.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in process automation and control enhancements.
• Monitor outstanding confirmations and escalate issues where appropriate.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in an operations or middle office role, with direct exposure to OTC derivatives.
• Strong knowledge of the full trade lifecycle, from trade execution to settlement.
• Solid understanding of ISDA Master Agreements, and product-specific confirmation language.
• Hands-on experience with confirmation platforms (e.g., MarkitWire, DTCC, or similar).
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., EMIR, Dodd-Frank) affecting OTC derivatives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; experience with trade capture systems is a plus.
