Reporting to the Supervisor of Terminals & Pipelines, the incumbent will handle end-to-end recording, reporting, and analysis of business unit results, including journal entries, invoicing, reports, and account reconciliations. A strong attention to detail and understanding of oil and gas industry accounting standards are essential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Compile, analyze, reconcile, and distribute monthly operating results.
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries.
  • Prepare and validate annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Develop accounting models to improve processes and support automation.
  • Collaborate with other units to ensure reliable financial results.
  • Evaluate and communicate financial and operational data.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with audit queries.
  • Participate in testing and implementing new systems.
  • Maintain training manuals.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting and analysis.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • CPA designation or pursuit is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the crude oil industry is an asset.
  • Experience with relational databases and proficiency in Excel, Word, and database software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset.
  • Process improvement mindset.
  • Effective communication skills within the company and in field offices.
