A leading staffing agency in Canada is seeking an Operational Services Advisor to support day-to-day operations within a top financial institution. The ideal candidate will possess strong Microsoft Office skills, experience in banking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. JOB TITLE: Operational Services Advisor
Background in banking, accounting, or bookkeeping
Experience working with service level agreements (SLAs)
Exposure to operational support roles within financial institutions
Previous work in process improvement or administrative operations an asset
Timely and accurate completion of operational tasks
Ability to meet or exceed SLA requirements
Quality of support provided to internal stakeholders
Contribution to process improvement initiatives
Accuracy in data entry and spreadsheet management

Perform specialized processing tasks to support day-to-day operations
Deliver high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders
Create and maintain spreadsheets using MS Excel
Support team initiatives including huddles, knowledge-sharing, and workflow improvements
Communicate with various departments to resolve operational issues
Participate in daily team activities and align with operational goals
Ensure compliance with SLAs and internal controls
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Data entry and spreadsheet creation/management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous banking or financial services experience
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to meet deadlines and SLAs
Team collaboration and willingness to support others
Critical thinking and proactive problem-solving
Adaptability and eagerness to learn
Accountability and ownership of assigned work
Experience with estates, wills, or financial documentation related to death claims
High emotional intelligence and empathy when dealing with sensitive information
Previous exposure to process improvement projects
