The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting operational reliability systems to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and enhance maintenance strategies. This role focuses on implementing reliability engineering principles, conducting root cause analyses, and optimizing preventive maintenance programs across site operations.

This position is on-site Monday to Friday in Blind River, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and support operational reliability systems, including:
    • Asset criticality assessments, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) studies
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Defect Elimination, and Failure Management processes
    • Reliability performance tracking and reporting
    • Asset strategy development and implementation
    • Preventive Maintenance (PM) optimization and authoring of technical procedures and instructions
    • Conduct and interpret condition monitoring data, including:
    • Vibration analysis, ultrasound, lubrication, and thermography assessments
    • Support data management and analysis activities:
    • Technical data and information gathering
    • Production loss tracking development
    • Asset history and failure trend analysis
    • Preparation and review of self-assessment reports
    • Contribution to continuous improvement initiatives related to operational reliability

Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive industrial engineering experience, with several years focused on reliability engineering
  • 5+ years of experience performing or supervising condition monitoring activities (ISO certifications required)
  • Proven expertise in reliability methodologies such as FMEA, RCM, RCA, FTA, and LCCA
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
