Who we need

Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, we are hiring an Operational Excellence Specialist to join our growing Operational Excellence team. As our new Operational Excellence Specialist, you will work across manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and commercial teams to strengthen how we use data, processes, and technology to improve operational performance. You will take ownership of KPI governance and data integrity, support and strengthen S&OP processes, and help build the data infrastructure needed to create greater visibility and accountability across the business. As the function evolves, you will move beyond reporting to identify root causes, improve processes, and explore opportunities to use automation, AI, and ERP capabilities to make the way we work more efficient and effective.

This is a newly created, full-time role based in our Scarborough office. You will initially work onsite four days per week, with flexibility to move to three days onsite as you become established in the role.

What's in it for you

Build and influence. You will join a newly built Operational Excellence team at a point where processes, systems, and ways of working are still taking shape. Rather than inheriting a finished playbook, you will have the opportunity to help build KPI frameworks and data infrastructure, strengthen S&OP processes, and introduce new approaches that improve how operational decisions are made across the business.

Technology and transformation. You will be part of Array’s continued investment in improving how data and technology support manufacturing and operations. You will gain hands‑on exposure to automation and AI initiatives, BI and dashboard development, and ERP enablement, with opportunities to contribute to projects such as the Epicor rollout and identify practical ways technology can improve processes and performance.

Career growth. This role offers the opportunity to build broad operational expertise rather than stay focused solely on reporting or analytics. As you deepen your understanding of the business, you can grow into greater ownership of root cause analysis, process improvement, ERP implementation, BI and dashboarding, quality systems, project management, or broader operations leadership.

As our new Operational Excellence Specialist, you will
  • Strengthen S&OP processes. You will bring together sales forecasts, supply commitments, and planning data to build and maintain reliable S&OP inputs. Working across Commercial, Planning, Purchasing, and Operations, you will help create greater alignment and visibility into supply chain and operational priorities.
  • Own KPI governance. You will build, maintain, and improve KPI datasets across functions, ensuring the information used to measure operational performance is consistent, accurate, and meaningful. You will support weekly and monthly performance reviews and help strengthen accountability across teams.
  • Improve data integrity. You will bring together data from multiple systems, using Excel to clean, structure, validate, and analyze information before it feeds into dashboards and operational reporting. You will investigate anomalies and inconsistencies to distinguish data quality issues from underlying operational challenges.
  • Turn insights into improvements. You will move beyond identifying what the data is showing to understand why issues are occurring. You will conduct root cause analysis, work with cross-functional teams on corrective actions, and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Advance automation and technology. You will explore practical opportunities to apply AI and automation to operational processes and support the continued evolution of Array’s data and technology capabilities. You will contribute to BI and dashboard development and, as the function evolves, support ERP enablement and integration initiatives.
You bring:
  • The operational experience. You have worked in a manufacturing or supply chain environment where you have developed a practical understanding of how materials, planning, inventory, and operations connect. You understand S&OP and can use operational data to identify issues, improve processes, and support better decision-making. Experience in a high-mix or multi-product manufacturing environment would be an asset.
  • The analytical skills. You are highly proficient in Excel and can bring together information from multiple sources to clean, structure, validate, and analyze complex datasets. You know how to spot trends, anomalies, and inconsistencies and dig deeper to determine whether you are looking at a data quality issue or an operational problem. VBA experience is an asset.
  • The systems knowledge. You have worked with ERP or MRP systems and understand the importance of reliable data within manufacturing and supply chain processes. Experience with Epicor is an asset, but experience with comparable platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is transferable. Exposure to BI and visualization tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau is also valuable.
  • The AI and automation experience. You have practical exposure to AI and automation and can identify opportunities to use these capabilities to improve processes, reduce manual work, or make operational information more useful. You are interested in applying technology to real manufacturing and operational challenges rather than using it in isolation.
  • The approach. You are curious, hands‑on, and comfortable working in an environment where processes are still evolving. You can prioritize competing needs, work through ambiguity, and proactively communicate with stakeholders across functions. You bring a continuous improvement mindset and the patience to investigate problems, challenge assumptions, and help turn insights into action.
Compensation: $77,000 to $82,000

We encourage applications from candidates who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, particularly individuals from Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities, persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and those with lived experience. If you have 70% of the qualifications we are looking for, we encourage you to apply to express your interest.

What you can expect from the interview process:
  • A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor discussing your interest in the role. The conversation will be recorded using BrightHire, an AI-powered video interview tool. More details will be shared when you are invited to interview.
  • A virtual interview with the Hiring Manager. You will explore how your experience aligns with the needs of the team and organization.
  • A final in-person interview with the Hiring Manager, Operations Excellence Manager, a Subject Matter Expert, and an HR Specialist to learn more about the role and the vision for the team.

Should you require accommodation in any aspect of the selection process, please contact us at careers@talentminded.ca, and we will be happy to help.
