Operational Excellence Engineer (Maintenance & Reliability)
Summary:
Reporting to the Operational Excellence Team Leader, the Operational Excellence Engineer will work on continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing costs and increasing efficiency within a fast-paced, high-growth food manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement proactive reliability programs across the organization as part of the Maintenance & Reliability team.
- Analyze equipment performance data, develop metrics, optimize processes, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Create and execute project plans for work and material management processes for maintenance teams.
- Develop dashboards for key maintenance insights.
- Automate manual data processes and incorporate validation measures.
- Assist in developing SOPs and conduct facility audits.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Required Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in continuous improvement projects.
- Post-secondary education in Industrial, Mechanical, Computer, or Chemical engineering.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Understanding of maintenance and reliability best practices is an asset.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems is an asset.
- Experience with VBA macros and Python is an asset.
- Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau is an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an asset.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different schedules as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and US travel documentation.
