The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is a regulatory agency that reports to the Ministry of the Attorney General. The AGCO is responsible for regulating the alcohol, gaming (casino, lottery, and charitable gaming), horse racing, and cannabis sectors in Ontario, in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity, and in the public interest.
The Audit and Financial Investigations (AFI) Branch works collaboratively with other compliance branches to enable effective regulatory risk management and improve regulatory outcomes. AFI carries out risk-based audits and reviews across all our regulated sectors, provides advice and insights to internal partners, and delivers objective and reliable results that support effective regulatory responses. We are seeking a dynamic team player for the Operational Auditor role within the AFI Branch. In this role, you will be responsible for executing the risk-based audit plan which involves execution of regulatory assurance and compliance audits across all of AGCO’s regulated lines of business by conducting audits or projects. The successful candidate will also provide expert advice regarding the state of policies, procedures, and internal controls as it relates to regulations; as well as conduct investigative audits when issues arise.
