Operation And Maintenance Assistant Manager

Position Summary:

The Operation and Maintenance (O/M) Assistant Manager will be trained by and be the successor to the current O/M Manager. They will assist in managing public works and infrastructure activities within the Tsideldel First Nation (TFN) Community. This includes overseeing initiatives that contribute to providing quality community infrastructure and grounds. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring and maintaining public infrastructure such as water, sewer, and electrical systems for facilities like the School, Band Office, and other public buildings. The role involves working with and supervising the O/M team, as well as planning for future infrastructure needs.

Qualifications:
  1. University or college degree, diploma, or equivalent in trades or management.
  2. Proficient in the use of desktop computers and peripherals such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  5. Class 5 Driver’s license, a clean driver’s abstract, and access to reliable transportation.
  6. Willing to undergo a criminal record check.
  7. Previous experience working with First Nations is an asset.
  8. Trades certification or Red Seal certification is an asset.
  9. 1-2 years or more of management experience is an asset.
