The Tsideldel First Nation is seeking an O/M Assistant Manager to oversee public works and infrastructure activities. The role involves managing community initiatives and ensuring quality infrastructure maintenance. Ideal candidates will have relevant education and experience, along with strong communication and teamwork skills.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operation and Maintenance (O/M) Assistant Manager will be trained by and be the successor to the current O/M Manager and assist to be responsible for public works and infrastructure activities within the Tsideldel First Nation (TFN) Community. This includes managing initiatives within the Tsideldel Community that contribute to providing quality community infrastructure and grounds. Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring and maintaining public infrastructure such as water, sewer, electrical for places like the School, Band Office and all other public buildings. Working with and toward supervision of the O/M Team. Visionary Planning forecasts for future infrastructure needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
University or college degree, diploma or equivalent in trades or management
Proficient use of desktop computers and peripherals such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent Interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
Class 5 Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract and access to reliable transportation.
Willing to undergo a criminal record check.
Previous experience working with First Nations an asset.
Trades certification or possession of Red Seal certification are assets.
1-2 years or more experience working in management is an asset.
