Description

North Horizon Holdings is a Canadian Family Office with a global investment footprint. We are value-oriented investors in private equity, venture capital, public markets, and real estate.

The Operation Analyst is primarily responsible for overseeing daily operations, records and filing, reporting, and providing operational support for the front office in real estate and private equity/venture capital investments.

What will you do?
  • Review and manage transaction records, utilizing different investment management software/systems to ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Audit and verify the accuracy and consistency of cash inflows and outflows across investment teams.
  • Assist the front office with fund budgeting and planning.
  • Support quarterly valuation processes for PE funds and real estate deals.
  • Ensure the security and accuracy of important investment documents, including legal instruments, organizational charts, and investment memos.
  • Oversee the investment process to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Reconcile and analyze investment data to generate monthly and quarterly reports and financial statements.
  • Help improve back-office operational policies to standardize and streamline processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks such as coordinating meetings, translation, and legal tasks related to deal closing.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Statistics.
  • Ability to analyze investment data using Excel Pivot Table, VBA, Power BI, SharePoint, and Backstop (training provided).
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite for report generation (PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, both oral and written, with the ability to draft reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of the financial industry and business routines.
  • Strong coordination, organization, and time management skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Attention to detail, accountability, and reliability.
Nice to Have
  • At least 2 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in real estate, PV, or VC investments. Experience in fund administration or operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong data processing skills for data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation using various analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of compliance policies, legal entity setup, and tax filing related to fund or real estate investments in North America.
