Job description

Operating Room Manager/Assistant Nurse Director plans, organizes, implements, and oversees clinical and program development within the OR to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of BWFH, as well as the regulatory requirements of JCAHO and other applicable agencies. Responsibilities include oversight of professional nursing practice, planning, management, and operation of surgical services to ensure quality patient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The Assistant Director will also ensure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practices.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
2. Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
3. MA Registered Nurse License required
4. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support preferred
5. Basic Life Support Certificate preferred
6. Nursing experience 2-3 years required
7. Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred
8. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
9. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
10. Strong commitment to clinical excellence
11. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
12. Knowledge of care required by respective age groups
