Job Overview
The Business Analyst identifies and documents business requirements, establishing best practices for solution delivery, and managing solution roadmaps. It includes leading solution acceptance and rollout, improving business processes, and collaborating with IT teams to meet solution requirements. The role also entails conducting ad hoc business analyses, developing executive level presentations, contributing to project planning and risk management, and continuously learning and mentoring team members. Additionally, it requires demonstrating adaptability and flexibility to support the overall success and alignment of the team and organization.
- Collaborate with supply chain, operations , planning, and DT&S teams to gather and document business requirements for ERP system enhancements or implementations.
- Support the conduct detailed process mapping and gap analysis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Lead and facilitate business process re-engineering (BPR) process mapping focused on optimizing supply chain functions ahead of ERP deployment.
- Translate business needs into functional ERP requirements aligned with industry best practices and nuclear regulatory standards.
- Requirements Analysis and Documentation: Successfully identify, analyze, and document requirements and use-cases related to business processes and systems, resulting in clear and actionable functional problem definitions.
- Establish Best Practices: Contribute to the establishment of our client’s best practices for the solution delivery cycle, leading to more efficient and effective project execution from elicitation to maintenance.
- Solution Roadmap Management: Oversee the solution roadmap and prioritization framework for the line of business, ensuring well-managed backlogs and prioritized tasks that align with business goals
- Solution Acceptance and Rollout: Lead the acceptance, rollout, and stakeholder education for new solutions, ensuring successful adoption and effective use of implemented solutions.
- Business Process Improvement: Utilize tools to analyze, document, and improve business processes, resulting in optimized workflows and increased operational efficiency.
- Collaboration with DT&S Teams: Collaborate with IT-led technical teams to ensure that solution requirements are met, leading to successful project outcomes and satisfied stakeholders.
- Ad Hoc Business Analysis: Create unique and ad hoc business process analyses to support decision-making, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Executive-Level Presentations: Develop executive-level presentations to synthesize findings and provide recommendations, facilitating informed decision-making at the leadership level.
- Continuous Learning and Best Practices: Engage in continuous learning of advanced methods and best practices, contributing to personal and organizational growth.
- Mentoring and Motivating: Share expertise, mentor, and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate the ability to take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success and adaptability of the team and organization. This includes effectively responding to unforeseen challenges, supporting various projects, and ensuring continuous alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- This role requires a business background to independently interact with the line of business, and to understand business issues, challenges, opportunities and requirements.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills are required to successfully and independently assess workflows, optimize processes, and identify efficiency improvements.
- A four-year university degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics plus 1 year of concentrated study in Business is required to gain the knowledge required.
Experience
- The role requires experience to manage large meetings with stakeholders and senior executives, to challenge and ask difficult questions, work independently, face complex multi-system challenges, understand macro strategy and to apply at micro-level use cases.
- Duties may also include aspects of project management to see through aspects of a business problem that requires coordination/sequencing of input and work from others.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in supply chain or ERP transformation roles.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS) in a supply chain context.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
- Proven experience in business process re-engineering and change management.
- Experience in energy or nuclear industry is strongly preferred, including understanding of compliance and safety regulations (e.g., NRC, DOE, INPO).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
