Work Mode: Hybrid – 2 days remote

Job Overview

The work involves execution and monitoring of the PNR Integrated HFEPP, managing EPC vendors regarding their HFE scope through all project phases including scoping, design, installation, commissioning, and close-out. This scope covers over 120 projects across various units and NICRs related to:

  • Retube & Feeder Replacement
  • Boiler Replacement
  • Turbine Generator
  • Deep Water Intake
  • Balance of Plant
  • Facilities and Infrastructure
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with vendors to manage their deliverables, ensuring compliance with HFE guidelines, standards, and project documentation.
  • Support oversight, review, and acceptance of vendor designs and deliverables related to HMI under ECC governance.
  • Prepare, review, and accept HFE analysis and assessment reports, including usability testing, HMI validation, and verification.
  • Review modification documentation and provide SME recommendations.
  • Support installation and commissioning activities, including review of completion declarations and reports.
  • Oversee vendor participation in HFE activities, including walk-downs and meetings.
  • Identify and track resolution of significant HFE issues during refurbishment.
  • Review HMI verification and validation plans and results.
  • Ensure HFE documents are integrated into training and procedures.
  • Support regulatory interface activities, including status updates and inspections.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of physics, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, electricity, engineering, and economics, with advanced knowledge in one or more subjects.
  • Must be qualified under the client’s Nuclear Design Engineering Qualification program as a “Design Engineer of Human-Machine Interfaces” and hold related qualifications.
  • Experience with CANDU HFE design is required to demonstrate competency.
