Job summary

WSP, a leading global engineering firm, seeks a Director of Ontario Geotechnical Engineering to guide growth, technical excellence, and long-term strategy across Ontario. You will lead a large multidisciplinary team and strengthen client relationships to secure major transportation, infrastructure, and environmental projects.

You will champion innovation, digital delivery, health and safety, and sustainable practice while collaborating with senior geotechnical leaders across the province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering; P.Eng. in Ontario.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive geotechnical/consulting experience.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and major portfolios.
• Strong business development and client relationship skills in Ontario market.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction and growth of Ontario Geotechnical Engineering practice.
• Develop long-term vision, business plan, and growth strategy.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices.
• Strengthen client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee project delivery, portfolio performance, risk management, and financial performance.
• Advance innovation, digital tools, and data-informed decision-making.
• Represent WSP in the marketplace through client engagement and industry forums.
