Position Details

Position: Ontario Convention Center Dishwasher

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Executive Chef

FLSA Status: PT-Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Compensation: $19.00 an hour

Position Summary

ASM Ontario Convention Center, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Dishwasher. Responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain sanitary and safe work environment, including cleaning floors, walls, and equipment.
2. Scrape and wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
3. Segregate and remove trash and garbage, and clean trash cans.
4. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
5. Set up and operate dishwashing stations at events.
6. Ensure all china, glass, and silverware are in proper place and order.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience, Training, and Education

• Experience in a food and beverage setting required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card required.
• The company will cover the training cost and compensate for time spent obtaining the card, which must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of food service health codes and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This position requires stooping and lifting.
