Position Summary

ASM Ontario Convention Center, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Dishwasher. Responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitary and safe work environment, including cleaning floors, walls, and equipment.
• Scrape and wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage, and clean trash cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Set up and operate dishwashing stations at events.
• Ensure all china, glass, and silverware are in proper place and order.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience, Training, and Education

• Experience in a food and beverage setting required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card required.
• The company will cover the training cost and compensate for time spent obtaining the card, which must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of food service health codes and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This position requires stooping and lifting.
