Job summary

Paymentus is hiring a QA Engineer to drive quality across the software lifecycle. You will craft test cases, perform manual and automated testing, and extend automation frameworks.

You’ll collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers in a fast-paced Agile setting to ensure robust releases. The role emphasizes end-to-end and API testing, with opportunities to develop tooling and automation coverage, including UI and performance testing, while maintaining high quality standards for

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong QA principles, testing methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with multiple test types (functional, performance, API, security).
• Knowledge of Agile practices and working in an Agile team.
• Strong software fundamentals: algorithms and data structures.
• 2+ years hands-on experience writing end-to-end tests in front-end frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress).
• Experience with API and performance testing tools (Postman, JMeter).
• Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to report status clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMs, Devs, and Designers to drive requirements from ideation to release with high quality.
• Create and execute test cases and test plans.
• Log, verify, and work defects with teams for timely resolution.
• Diagnose issues and identify bottlenecks.
• Report testing status and timelines regularly.
• Perform functional, UI, accessibility, API, and performance testing.
• Create and extend end-to-end and API automation frameworks.
• Review product and automation code and provide risk/impact assessments.
• Learn new technologies and apply test development best practices.
• Cover unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing as needed.
