Job summary

The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement is seeking a Junior Software Developer to provide Oracle software development support and application maintenance onsite in Toronto. The role involves translating specifications into tested applications and driving development end-to-end, including coding, unit tests, and migrations.

Required are strong Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, data integration skills, and experience with Oracle E-Business modules.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle E-Business is not required; however, strong Oracle PL/SQL, SQL and data integration skills are essential.
• Proven ability to translate system specifications into tested software and to conduct unit tests.
• Ability to collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders across the Software Development Life Cycle.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical specifications into working, tested applications and develop detailed programming specifications.
• Write and/or generate code, compile data-driven programs, maintain and test units.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems during use and operation of software packages.
